Dhara is a unique treatment method developed by the eminent Vaidyas of Kerala. It is one of the distinctive and efficient form of treatment practiced only by the Physicians of Kerala.
Under this treatment method, medicated warm oil/herbal decoctions/medicated milk/buttermilk is made to flow onto the patient’s forehead nonstop for 45 to 90 minutes. This procedure gives great relaxation to the mind and body and it brings a mental state equal to that of a trance to the patients. The central nervous system is profoundly relaxed and energized by this treatment. Sirodhara as it is called, gives the best results when performed after Abhyanga.
Dhara is good for all eliments. The medication is changed as per the dosha condition with necessary modifications in the procedure to mitigate the doshas.
